“Casting” – Application process

On this website you have the possibility to register voluntarily for the casting for the participation in the project DANUBE TRAVEL STORIES. For registration, the following data is required: name, address, email address, date of birth, social media profiles (e.g. Instagram, Facebook), application video. In addition, we record the date and time of registration and the IP address. The fields required for processing the application and for the completion and handling of the project are marked as mandatory fields.
For this purpose, the data is entered into an input mask and stored in the casting database (WordPress) of WGD Donau Oberösterreich Tourismus GmbH. WGD Donau Obersösterreich Tourismus GmbH has commissioned LINKING BRANDS – team4tourism e.U. to maintain and manage the casting database. If you have registered as a participant for the DANUBE TRAVEL STORIES, we will list you as an applicant and you will be shortlisted. During the casting process, your data will be processed to conduct the casting (in particular candidate selection). We process your contact data to inform you about the application process or your participation.

Participation in the project DANUBE TRAVEL STORIES

If you participate in the DANUBE TRAVEL STORIES project, your data will be processed for the creation and implementation of the project (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO). The data of the selected participants will be passed on to those project partners (e.g. Tourismusverband Linz; West Pannon Regional & Economic Development Public Nonprofit Ltd.; Institute for Culture, Tourism and Sport Murska Sobota; Croatian Association for Tourism and Rural Development „The Village Membership Club“; Visit Oradea; DANUBEPARKS) and tourist service providers (hotels, museums, guides, etc.) who need them for the project implementation (implementation/organization of the tour). If you provide special personal data for the project, the processing is based on Art. 9 Abs. 2 lit. a and e DSGVO.

During project execution, you will share personal data (videos, photos) in your personal social media profile. This data is processed by the respective social media provider. For further information on data protection and to assert your rights, please contact the respective social media provider directly.
In addition, all posts with #danubetravelstories will be published on a social wall on the website www.danube-pearls.eu. The publication of these posts is based on our legitimate interest in promoting the project as well as public relations work (Art. 6 Abs 1. lit. f DSGVO).

 

Retention period

Your personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the processing of the casting process and possible project processing if participation in the DANUBE TRAVEL STORIES comes about. You have the option to revoke your application at any time during the ongoing application process. To do so, simply send an e-mail to info@donauregion.at. Notwithstanding the above, we may store your personal data due to legal and tax retention obligations.

Your rights

You are generally entitled to the rights of access to your processed data, as well as its correction, deletion, restriction, transferability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in any way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority. For the protection of your data, proof of your identity will be requested in case of doubt.
