General Information

The “Danube Travel Stories” are part of the Transdanube Travel Stories project of the Interreg Danube Transnational Program, which is implemented in cooperation with the following partners: Umweltbundesamt Österreich, Donaubüro gemeinnützige GmbH Ulm/Neu-Ulm, WGD Donau Oberösterreich Tourismus GmbH, Tourismusverband Linz, West Pannon Regional und Economic Development Public Nonprofit Ltd., Verband für Kultur, Tourismus und Sport Murska Sobota, Kroatischer Verband für Tourismus und ländliche Entwicklung „The Village Membership Club“, Verband für Tourismusförderung in der Region Oradea, Danube Competence Center, DANUBEPARKS – Netzwerk der Donau-Schutzgebiete. WGD Donau Oberösterreich Tourismus GmbH acts as casting organizer.

All natural persons who are at least 18 years old and have a permanent residence in Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania or Serbia may participate in the promotion. Employees and relatives of the above-mentioned partners of the “Transdanube Travel Stories” are not eligible to participate.

These conditions of participation and privacy information govern the participation in the casting for the “Danube Travel Stories”, the participation in one of 6 vacation trips and inform about the processing of personal data within this project.

The project is a marketing measure, which aims to inspire individual travelers to a sustainable vacation in the Danube region. This is made possible by different recordings and content production of 6 participants and their accompanying persons, who visit the Danube Region on different topics in advance.

By participating in the casting, the participants accept these conditions of participation. Participation in the casting is possible in the period from 07.03.2022 up to and including 30.04.2022.

No correspondence can be entered into about the casting. The legal process is excluded. Closing date of the casting: 30.04.2022. The notification of the participants will take place until 15.05.2022. The participants will be notified in writing (by e-mail) and will also be published on the website www.danube-pearls.eu with their first name, last name (or only the first letters of the last name) and location. Cash compensation is not possible. WGD Donau Oberösterreich Tourismus GmbH and partner companies do not accept any liability for lost opportunities to participate due to technical inadequacies such as connection problems, etc. Subject to typesetting and printing errors.

Participation Process | Casting Procedure

Participation in the casting process and participation in one of 6 adventure tours requires the following things from the participant(s):
– Minimum age 18 years
– Completion of all required fields in the designated participation form
– Fulfillment of the Covid-19 guidelines in the countries visited at the time of travel
– Agree to these terms and conditions and privacy policy
– Upload a short introduction video in English
The suitability of the participant(s) for the Danube Travel Stories will be checked by the commissioned company LINKING BRANDS after receipt of the application. If the participant is deemed suitable, he/she will be contacted by LINKING BRANDS by sending a reply to the e-mail address provided by the participant. The eligible entrant agrees that LINKING BRANDS may send personal emails inviting him/her to participate and informing him/her of the prize. LINKING BRANDS acts exclusively as a processor.

Participation and granting of rights

Recordings sent in in the course of the casting will be used exclusively for the implementation of the casting, i.e. the internal selection of the participants. For these purposes, the participant grants an unrestricted right to use the recordings. The recordings will not be used for other purposes, in particular for advertising purposes. The recordings will not be edited, redesigned or published.

Early termination, revocation
The participant accepts that LINKING BRANDS reserves the right to exclude participants from the casting for objectively justified reasons. The participant is entitled to cancel his/her participation in the casting in writing (by e-mail) at any time during the application process. It is not necessary to give reasons. Privacy information

WGD Donau Oberösterreich Tourismus GmbH processes the personal data disclosed in the course of the casting (name, contact details, social media profiles, application video) for the purpose of conducting the casting (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO). Without providing the necessary data, participation in the casting is not possible. For the maintenance and management of the casting database, WGD Donau Oberösterreich Tourismus GmbH has commissioned PAUL, JANE & LEO by ideengeber e.U (as sub contractorLINKING BRANDS – team4tourism e.U). as a processor.

In the event of participation in the DANUBE TRAVEL STORIES project, the data of the participants will be processed for the implementation of the project (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO). The data of the selected participants will be passed on to those project partners and tourist service providers (hotels, museums, guides, etc.) who need them for the project (implementation/organization of the tour). Insofar as special personal data is provided by the participant due to the project, the processing is carried out on the basis of rt. 9 Abs. 2 lit. a und e DSGVO.

During the project, the participants will share personal data (videos, photos) in their personal social media profile. This data will be processed by the respective social media provider. The participants will be published with their first name, last name and location on www.danube-pearls.eu. In addition, all posts with #danubetravel will be published on a social wall on the website www.danube-pearls.eu. The publication of these posts is based on our legitimate interest in the promotion of the project and public relations (Art. 6 Abs 1. lit. f DSGVO).

All data will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the casting process and possible project processing in the event of participation in the DANUBE TRAVEL STORIES.

You have the right of access to the data concerning you as well as the right of correction and deletion of the data. You may also have the data processing restricted and request the transfer of the data you have provided to other data controllers. You may revoke your participation in the casting at any time during the ongoing application process. To assert your rights, please contact: info@donauregion.at. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority if you have concerns about the processing of your personal data.
